Liberty* MDrive® (LMD) Pulse/direction input NEMA 23 (57mm) with eCylinder integrates a 1.8° 2-phase stepper motor, drive electronics, a unique multi-mode pulse/speed/torque controller and an inline mounted captive electric cylinder. Linear motion is produced by an ACME screw/nut system directly coupled to the driving shaft. These compact products offer many distinct benefits including competitive price, high accuracy and repeatability. A cleaner, quieter alternative to pneumatics for some applications. Feedback options include: Open loop stepper or closed loop with hmTechnology (hMT).
Locking pluggable connectors interface power, I/O. Serial RS-422/485 connection is via a DB-9 (Male) connector.
This product offers multiple operational modes depending on the configuration parameters selected using the included software GUI:
- Pulse/direction: The motor moves in a speed and direction based upon step and direction signals supplied by a controller or PLC.
- Speed Control: The motor moves at a velocity based upon a voltage or current on the analog input.
- Velocity Control: The motor moves at a velocity commanded via the serial interface.
- Torque Control (closed loop only): The motor will maintain a constant torque at a value determined by a reference voltage or current on the analog input.
