LMD17 Electric Cylinder NEMA 17 Ethernet TCP/IP

Liberty* MDrive® (LMD) Ethernet TCP/IP NEMA 17 (42 mm) with eCylinder integrates a 1.8° 2-phase stepper motor, drive electronics, advanced networking controller and an inline mounted captive electric cylinder. Linear motion is produced by an ACME screw/nut system directly coupled to the driving shaft. These compact products offer many distinct benefits including competitive price, high accuracy and repeatability. A cleaner, quieter alternative to pneumatics for some applications. Feedback options include: Open loop stepper, closed loop with hmTechnology (hMT) or multi-turn absolute encoder.

Locking pluggable connectors interface power, I/O. Network connection is via a standard RJ45 Ethernet connector.

This product communicates over 10/100 Ethernet and supports the following industrial protocols:

  • MCode/TCP (Novanta IMS proprietary programming and control language)
  • EtherNet/IP (ODVA conformance checked)
