ODVA conformance checked EtherNet/IP products
Liberty MDrive Ethernet TCP/IP products supporting EtherNet/IP are ODVA conformance tested and available in two motor styles:
- Standard or high-torque rotary motor
- ACME screw external shaft linear actuator
Both stepper motor styles are available in open loop, closed loop or with a multi-turn absolute encoder.
Rotary products
Liberty MDrive Ethernet rotary motor products with EtherNet/IP are available in standard sizes: NEMA 17, NEMA 23 & NEMA 34.
Linear products
Liberty MDrive Ethernet external shaft linear actuator products with EtherNet/IP are available in standard sizes: NEMA 17 & NEMA 23.

EtherNet/IP overview
EtherNet/IP is the most widely used industrial Ethernet solution for factory automation. Developed by Rockwell Automation, and managed by the Open DeviceNet Vendors Association (ODVA), EtherNet/IP provides a complete set of services and messages for: control, synchronization, safety, motion, and data exchange. Novanta IMS Ethernet products support EtherNet/IP as an adapter class device capable of implicit and explicit messaging with remote I/O on-board these integrated motion products. Available as open or closed loop with an internal magnetic encoder or with a multi-turn absolute encoder. Closed loop models feature hMTechnology.
